Creating Courses

To create a course in PlanSafe, you will need to go to the Courses Menu under Setup. Once on this page, you can create a new course by pressing the Add button at the top-right of the screen.

Make the desired changes to the course and save once done to create the course.

Options when adding a course:

• Name - The learner-facing name of the course.
• Code - The internal system code for the course. This can be anything that logically relates to the course.
• Description - A short description of the course that will be visible to learners on their dashboard.
• Nominate as ECO Course - This option makes the course as the ECO course, which is part of the setup for automatic ECO recording.

We recommend leaving all other options not listed here on their default settings.

Please note that to finish the setup of your new course, you will need to go through the following steps:

• Assign the content to the course under Manage Course -> Navigations.
• Assign questions to the course under Manage Course -> Questions.
• Assign Assessment Fields to the course under Manage Course -> Assessment Fields.
• Assign Floor Plans to the course under Manage Course -> Floor Plans.
• Assign Campuses to the course under Manage Course -> Campuses.
• Assign Declarations to the course under Manage Course -> Declarations.
