Adding and Using Grids in PlanStudio
To add a grid in PlanStudio, start by clicking the pink + button in the bottom right corner of the Plan Editor and select the "Add Grid" option.
Once the grid is added, you can:
- Adjust the Grid Spacing (distance between lines in meters).
- Move the grid to align with a floorplan or other elements in your design by using the Toggle.
- Rotate the grid to a different angle using the rotation toggle, or specify the exact angle in the Rotation section of the Inspector panel
Grid Snapping
If you'd like to use the grid as a guide for drawing, enable Grid Snapping in the Snapping Controls. This will let you snap your walls and drawing tools directly to the grid lines for more precise alignment.
Customizing Grids
You can easily customize your grid’s appearance through the Themes library.
PlanStudio allows you to add multiple grids to a plan, each with different themes and appearances. By combining various themes and using Theme tags, you can create a wide range of grid styles for different purposes.
Showing Grids
To display grids on a published diagram, ensure you enable the visibility setting for grids in your template.
