The Selection Tool is used alongside every other tool in PlanStudio, When using the Selection Tool, the options available will vary depending on the item or items being selected. Every object in PlanStudio you select will have settings available to configure in the Inspector Panel. Some objects will have unique tools in the Sub Tool Bar, selecting objects will also enable the options to deselect, delete, copy, cut, paste, and center on the screen.
Selecting Walls
When selecting walls, you will have the option to mirror and flip the wall as well as rotate it with these buttons, a manipulator arrow will also appear in the Sub Tool Bar which allows you to see and edit the nodes of the walls, so you can extend or reduce the size of the walls, as well as use the toggles to curve the walls.
Selecting Doors
When selecting doors, you will have the option to again mirror and flip as well as rotate, and now an arc mode will be available in the sub tool bar so you can edit the door swings. Some door types such as sliding doors will also have different configurations available in the Inspector Panel.
Selecting Stairs
Selecting stairs gives you options to configure handrails and directions in the inspector panel as well as access the nodes with the Manipulator Arrow, add line breaks with the stairway break mode and change sections of the stairs to landings or ramps with the stairway section mode.
Selecting Features
Selecting features will allow you to mirror, flip and rotate as well as access the Manipulator Arrow. Fixtures can also be resized manually by dragging them from the corners, holding shift to lock the proportions.
Selecting Zones
Zones will allow you to access the Manipulator Arrow, where you can edit the nodes in a few different ways either by moving them in the standard mode or add new nodes by entering the Grow Mode. You also get access to the Add Hole button to remove a space from the center of a zone.
Selecting Nav Mesh
Selecting nav mesh will allow you to change the path rules and edit the zones as well as flipping, mirroring, and rotating. The Navigation and Network Tools have their own unique Manipulator Arrow accessible directly from that tools Sub Tool Bar.
Selecting Equipment
Selecting equipment with the Selection Tool will allow you to move it around the floorplan as well as access the Inspector Panel where you can edit their Data Fields and change icon settings. Exit signs will have the option to rotate, mirror and flip as well as add directional arrows to the exit signs. Selecting evacuation sign icons will enable the evacuation Path Mode in the Sub Tool Bar where you can manually turn on and off the evacuation routes available for each sign, and security cameras will have an option to enter the cameras field of view.

Multiple Selection
Using the Selection Tool, you can also click and drag to select multiple entities on a plan, highlighting and selecting multiple objects will bring up a list of the selected objects in the Inspector Panel where you can choose to deselect specific elements as well as click to expand the selection where you can bulk edit properties of certain elements like walls and doors.
Selecting Graphics
When selecting graphics, you have the option to crop the image, rescale from a measurement and rescale using the Point to Point Tool. Inside the Inspection Panel for graphics, you have the option to upload or save images, add an attribution, or use the straighten document tool. There is also an option to set a graphic to show in diagrams, which will turn it on for your diagrams if the template you are using permits it.
