Framing the Floorplan on a template
When configuring your evacuation diagrams the framing and margins tools can be used together to adjust your floorplan at the correct zoom and position on the template, you can use your fingers to pinch and zoom on a touch screen or you can hold down your middle mouse button to pan the plan around the page as well as scroll in and out with your scroll wheel, to zoom in or out at finer increments you can hold the control button on your keyboard. The same can then be done for the site plan.
Using Margins
If you have a large floor plan and you cannot show the whole thing on one page you can then use a margin to create a boundary around the edge of the plan area so that your floorplan doesn’t run off the side of the page, margins can be created in two different ways either using the rectangle mode and setting a margin using the number inputs available on the left or using Polygon mode to manually draw an area using the zone node system where you can add extra points if you need to carefully crop the zone crop the margin around the floor plan.
We recommend you also then clone your framing and margins for any additional signs in your job to keep the size and location of your floor plans consistent between diagrams. If you make any mistakes for framing or creating margins you can either click the reset margins button or reset framing the lock framing button can be helpful if you need to leave a floor plan position in place while going back and making changes in the plan editor.
